Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your data, your types, your views — on your disk.

Last updated: 14 June 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Workle ("Workle", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit getworkle.com, use the Workle application, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — such as your name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Communications — information you provide when you contact us, request support, or join a waitlist.
  • Payment information — billing details processed by our payment providers where you purchase paid features.

Information from connected accounts

When you choose to connect a third-party account or platform (for example, a social media account such as TikTok, LinkedIn, or X), we access only the information needed to provide the features you enable. This may include basic profile information (such as your account ID, display name, and avatar) to confirm the connected account, and the ability to publish content that you have created and explicitly approved within Workle to that account on your behalf. We use this information solely to operate the connection you requested. We do not use data obtained from connected platforms for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with unrelated third parties. You can disconnect a connected account at any time, and our use of information from each platform is also subject to that platform's own terms and policies.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — such as pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Services.
  • Device and log data — such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to operate, secure, and improve the Services (see Section 7).

Workle is built so that your content and files live on your own device. We do not collect the contents of the local files you create and store with the application except as needed to provide cloud features you explicitly enable.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Process transactions and send related information;
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • Send service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications;
  • Monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law (such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR) requires it, we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Services), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf (for example, hosting, analytics, and payment processing) under appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations;
  • Third-party integrations — services you choose to connect, only as directed by you;
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Workle, our users, or others;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymise it.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, measure usage, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection, including through appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
